Our Story - What Is Charisma?

Definition of Charisma:
Compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others.

Charisma is a unique blend of traits that draws people in — the spark that inspires admiration, connection, and warmth. It’s that effortless ability to make others feel seen, heard, and at ease — and it’s the foundation of everything we do.

It all began in the summer of 2019, when Dale and Kelly — partners in life and now in coffee — took a much-needed vacation and began dreaming of something more. Both were working full-time jobs that didn’t ignite their passions, and for the first time, they truly considered what it might look like to be their own bosses.

At first, coffee wasn’t even on the list. But the dream of creating something meaningful together began to take shape. When the world slowed down in 2020, it gave them time and space to explore new ideas — though none quite clicked. Then, in 2023, came the lightbulb moment: coffee!

It wasn’t just a beverage; it was a lifestyle, a passion, and the perfect fit for their entrepreneurial spirit. They dove into research, sampling beans, studying roasting methods, and learning what makes an extraordinary cup.

After countless hours of roasting, tasting, and fine-tuning, Charisma Coffee officially launched on May 4, 2024 — fittingly, Star Wars Day (“May the Fourth be with you!”).

Today, Charisma Coffee stands as a celebration of flavour, community, and connection — a reminder that great coffee and genuine charisma both come from the heart.
